  1. I went to the store # 17180 my cashier made was extremely helpful and professional. He was very polite and expeditions on checking out the 3 ppl in line.

  2. I would like to praise a employee with the name tag Brian, assistant manager I believe. Such a nice and courteous employee. He helped me find what I needed, greeted me as I come in the store and as I was leaving.

  4. A employee asked me to take a survey, I know from experience that the (big wigs) dm ,rm,ect. Gets on to the employees if they don’t get a certain # of surveys. I know this cause my wife worked for dollar general for 8 years. Anyway I’ve spent 10 minutes trying to take a survey that’s only 3 minutes long. Screw the survey, hire more employees to keep shelves full and store clean.

  6. A cashier by the name of Cheridan at store # 00348 03 was very helpful and kind to me at my visit to the Dollar general today

  7. After standing in a growing line for awhile, I noticed the assistant manager just standing, doing nothing, watching the lone employee do a good job checking out customers. Of course, there were more and more customers entering the store, grab a few items and stand in the line a the checkout. The assis. manager did not offer to open another register, nor did she pull another employee from “the back” to open another register. The beauty of dollar stores is the ability to get in and out in a reasonerable amount of time. The one open register was being handled well in my opinion. She was polite, efficient, and doing well. But no one can handle an influx of a considerable amount of customers all at once. Finally the manager instructed another employee to open another line. If the manager’s job is to just stand around doing nothing, I predict a rush of job applicants. I’m really disappointed. just another person who can’t be bothered to help out.

  9. I am very annoyed! After shopping at Dollar General and making sure that I had over $25 worth of merchandise on July 15 (to use my $5 coupon) I was told that it did not work. This was after I called it to the checker’s attention. She tried numerous time and called the manager. The manager tried and said the “system” had been acting up. Needless to say, I paid full amount, without the $5 savings and left. I think something should have been done to “fix” the problem and I even suggested they cancel and redo the transaction on another register to no avail…..very disappointed and shorted $5??!?!
